Royce Wayne Munns
August 26, 1965 ~ June 4, 2012
BRIGHAM CITY - Royce Wayne Munns was tragically taken in a motorcycle crash on Monday, June 4, 2012.
Royce was born on August 26, 1965 in Brigham City, Utah to James
Austin (deceased) and Barbara Marble Munns. He attended and
graduated from Box Elder High School. He also served a mission to the
Charlotte North Carolina Mission.
On October 15,1987 Royce married his eternal sweetheart Shanne
Gibbs. Their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple.
They were the parents of four children.
Royce was a devoted husband and father. His entire life revolved
around his family. There was not anything that he would not do for
them. He was a great provider and more importantly a tremendous
example and the best friend of every one of his kids. He loved them
more than anything and always supported them and loved them
unconditionally. He was never more proud than when he could watch
one of his kids play whatever sport they were involved in. He would
gladly give up sleep to be in the stands cheering them on. On and off
the court, field or diamond he was their greatest coach.
Royce served in the Primary, Young Men's and Elders Quorum where he
joked that he had helped move half of Brigham. He lived a life of
service and was a true fix it man. He was never showy and never
wanted recognition. Most of his service was done in camouflage with
no one knowing that he had done it. He was a great example to
everyone that knew him.
Royce loved cars. Everything about them from shopping, to collecting
and keeping them running. He loved to camp and loved to travel making a lot of great memories with his family. He was always up for a
good time and loved to laugh and play with his kids. Whether it was an
impromptu basketball game, dancing on YouTube or making dutch
oven dinners.
Royce is survived by his wife Shanne and children Mandy, Nate, Mitzi
and Sadie. He is also survived by his mother Barbara Munns and
siblings Kelly (Rhonda), Suzanne (Ralph) Jones, Terie (Brett) Reese. He
is also survived by his mother in law Joan Smith. He was preceded in
death by his father James Austin Munns, brothers Randy and Tyler,
his father in law Bryan Gibbs and his grandparents, Archie A. & Charlotte Munns, and Leslie & Iona Marble.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 9, 2012 at the Brigham
City Eighth Ward chapel, 139 East 300 North in Brigham City at 11:00
a.m. Friends and family may call Friday June 8, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at

Ever since I heard I have been thinking what a great loss to everyone who knew Royce. I haven't seen him in a long time but the time we worked together for 12 years at Autolive was always a party when he was around. What a great sense of humor, he always had us all laughing. He will be so missed by anyone who ever met him. His heart was just as big as he was!
What a kind person. You all have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
